The Department of School Education of Karnataka conducts the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the recruitment of teachers in various government and private schools in the state of Karnataka.

  • KARTET Start of Online Registration: August

Karnataka TET Eligibility Criteria

The age of the candidate should be between 18-40 years.

For Paper 1
  • Candidates should have successfully completed their class 12 or other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board.
    Or
  • Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation with Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognised university or institution.
For Paper 2
  1. Candidates should have successfully completed their B.Ed or Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) degree from a recognized university/institution.

Karnataka TET Application Process

  1. Candidates are required to apply online by visiting the official website, Click Here.

  2. Fill up the application form by giving all the appropriate details.

  3. Finally get a printout of the filled in application form and keep it for future reference.

  4. The application process is finally complete with the payment of application fees.

Karnataka TET Exam Pattern

  1. For Standard I-V Teacher: Contenders need to clear the Paper-I
  2. For Standard, VI- VIII Teacher: Contenders need to clear the Paper – II.
  3. For Standard, I – VIII Teacher: Contenders need to clear both Paper – I and II
