The REVA University, Bangalore is a private university established in 2002. In 2004, the university was taken over by Rukmini Educational Charitable Trust led by Dr. P. Shyama Raju. The University offers programmes in Engineering, Architecture, Science & Technology, Commerce, Management Studies, Law, Arts & Humanities, and Performing Arts. Courses are offered in Certificate/Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma too. REVA University facilitates research leading to a Doctoral Degree in all disciplines. Admission is generally based in entrance test conducted by the REVA university.
