Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB)
Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) was established in 1966 and has been conducting SSLC and other examinations. The Board is responsible for conducting examinations Class 10 and other examinations. Every year the number of students appearing for examinations is increasing and in April this year it was more than 8 lakh students.
The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and the results, has set up divisional offices for the smooth functioning. This decentralization caters to the need of the student needs at their proximity. The board is now providing admission tickets with student photographs to prevent cheating and fraud.
The board has ventured to conduct the supplementary examination for candidates who have failed in SSLC examinations in the months of March in June every year. This will enable students to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. This process was introduced first time in the country.
