Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions

Under the guidance and patronage of Sam Pitroda and Dr. Anant Darshan Shankar, the Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT) was started in 1993 as a registered Public Trust and Charitable Society. The Ministry of Environment and Forests has designated FRLHT as a National Center of Excellence for medicinal plants and traditional knowledge.

It has nurtured and sponsored two major programs:
The Institute of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (I-AIM)

I -AIM established in 2011 is a high quality 100 bed, integrative healthcare hospital visualized by the founders as a ‘seed’, to be nurtured into a world class “Integrative Healthcare”, services, research, and education institute.

It has a fraternal relationship with TransDisciplinary University (TDU) since both are creations of the FRLHT Trust. The research and Education staff of I-AIM are faculty of TDU.

The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU)

The University of Trans-disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU) is committed as a University, to promote inter, multi and trans disciplinary perspectives in every domain  with an aim to make learning more holistic, enjoyable and thus  improve learning outcomes for its students.

The University imparts its programmes using practical, application-oriented approaches.  All programmes are designed and delivered by faculty who have track record of research and application and not merely class room teaching.
