Bangalore University Engineering Entrance Exam

Bangalore University offers an array of undergraduate and post graduate programs for the engineering department. It is one of the oldest universities in India, dating back to 1886. They are also affiliated with The Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and affiliated by University Grants Commission (UGC). Currently the university offers two campuses namely City Campus: Central College and Jnana Bharathi Campus. They also have an impressive engineering faculty and department, making it a popular choice for students across the country. In the vicinity of the city campus it also is the home to the prestigious University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE).

Bangalore University Engineering Eligibility Criteria

All candidates planning to appear for this exam must have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board. It is mandatory for them to secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% for the SC/ ST candidates. Calculation is done on the best of 4 from their total with English/ Hindi as a compulsory subject. Candidate’s age should be more than 17 years can apply for the entrance examination.

The application for this exam is simple, you can collect the application forms along with the prospectus from the college in Bangalore itself. There is also an online mode available and you can download the same from there. Other options for getting the forms include the State Bank of Mysore, Kolar, Ramanagaram and Chickaballapur.
